AFEX is Africa's leading commodity exchange and one of FT's Africa's fastest growing companies. They enable African farmers, providing access to markets, financing, and much more.
Any innovation in Agriculture will have a compounding positive effect. Half of Africa's population works in Agriculture, the highest percentage of any continent compared to just 5 percent in Europe. Sadly, there are not enough startups working on these problems.
